The Friends of Thorpe Willoughby CP School are a group of parents/carers and staff who work together throughout the year to raise money for the children of the school. We run competitions, hold fairs and sponsored events and raffles for example, in order to raise money for enrichment activities and resources for the school. Through our fundraising, we have helped contribute to the cost of class trips and outside events such as den building and pantomimes, therefore lowering the cost to parents. We have helped fund the creation of reading areas in each classroom and have provided iPads, books for the library and outdoor play equipment.
The Friends is run by a Committee, and we need your support!
If you are interested in joining us, please contact the school office or email friends@thorpewilloughby.co.uk.
We look forward to seeing you at our meetings and events.
The Thorpe Willoughby Christmas Cracker, a joint venture between the Friends, with their Christmas Craft Fair and the village Parish Council with the lantern walk and Tree lighting event on the 2nd December, was a lovely afternoon and evening and raised a wonderful £858.21!! Thank you to all that came and supported it, with games, tombola, craft sales, tuck shop, choir and singer performances, tree lights and of course, visits from the Man of the Moment, Santa.
