Equality Ambassadors

Equality Ambassadors

 

Our Equality Ambassadors are elected by their peers and have an important role within school.

Our Equality Ambassadors will:

  • Challenge discrimination
  • Make sure that everyone is included
  • Uphold our school values

Achievements

 

Our equality ambassadors have been busy promoting equality within our school. Here are some of their achievements.

 

Accessibility 

Our equality ambassadors surveyed our school and grounds to check how accessible our site is. As a result of their survey, school bought a new ramp and repainted yellow lines to support pupils and visitors who are visually impaired.

Book Corners

Our equality ambassadors carried out a survey of our class book corners and concluded that they would like to see more books that have a greater diversity of characters and cultures. They wrote to our Friends Association to ask them for some funding and we are pleased to announce that the Friends Association agreed to fund our new books! These books are now in classrooms being enjoyed by all.
