Wow! What can we say? Thank you, thank you and thank you again for all of your kind donations towards our harvest collection. Your donations will be heading to selby food bank and will make a difference to families in Selby.
Elm class have been busy creating African art this week. It was inspired by the African artist Noel Kapanda and they focused on the skill of drawing, creating patterns and shapes. Simply wonderful!
In our topic we have been looking at the life of Charles Darwin and his theory of evolution. Inspired by his visit to the Galapagos and his observation on certain species of birds, the year 5 and 6 children have produced some beautiful bird-themed pictures. We certainly have a talented bunch of children this year!
KS1 started the week with chaos in the classrooms! After looking at all of the clues, they found out that a lion had visited our school! This led to them reading the Lion King and describing the Savannah in Africa as well as measuring lion footprints. ROARSOME!
We'd like to welcome all our new starters to the school. Your Thorpe Willoughby journey is only just beginning and we cannot wait to see where it takes you.
Hello everyone! We hope you and your families had a lovely and semi-normal summer! We cannot wait to see you all and hear all about this long break you have had. Things may seem strange and different around school at first but once we get in to a routine, I'm sure we will hit the ground running with our learning. So from all the staff, welcome back and have an excellent school year!
The final day of term has arrived! We would like to wish all of our families a wonderful summer. Most importantly, good luck to our Year 6 pupils. It's been a blast. Good luck in all of your future endeavours - we know you will be amazing. You have made us proud! From all of the staff at TWCPS.
