Here at Thorpe Willoughby, our aim is to ensure that pupils receive a well rounded education that prepares them for the next stage of their life. We want pupils to leave our school as confident, independent individuals, who will be life long learners and valuable members of their community.

Our aspirations are:

  • Every child to be the best they can be
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Outstanding outcomes for children
  • A curriculum that inspires and engages all pupils, allowing them to explore and take risks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • A high quality learning environment
  • All staff to be the best they can be

Our values

Our Values

At Thorpe Willoughby Primary School our values underpin everything we do. They shape our actions, decisions and behaviour. We believe that by living our values we are preparing our pupils for life in modern Britain.

Our values have been developed in consultation with pupils, staff, parents and governors.

Below is an example of how our role models live their values.

British Values

Alongside our school values, we also we aim for pupils to develop an understanding of the fundamental British values of:

  • Democracy
  • Rule of law
  • Individual liberty
  • Mutual respect and tolerance
