Thorpe Willoughby School would like to wish all of the year 6 leavers the best of luck for the future. Your energy, passion and dedication to learning will be extremely missed amongst all of the staff at Thorpe. A massive thank you to the parents who have continued to support the children and the school throughout their seven years of primary school life. Good luck and goodbye.
As an end of year reward trip, staff decided to take the children to the Great Yorkshire Show. The children got to experience a number activities that they would not otherwise get to do, including presenting the weather for the BBC! Take a look at the pictures of the fab day below. Thank you to all the parents who helped support the trip, and thank you to the staff who were able to take time out of their busy end of year schedules.
On Tuesday evening, we held our first awards evening to recognise the achievement the children had put in over the course of the year. Although every child had worked hard throughout the year, 2 children from each class had been chosen to receive recognition for outstanding work, behaviour, achievements and attitudes. Thank you to all the teachers who took time to write a few special words and present the awards. I would also like to take this time to thank the parents for their continued support.
Key Stage One had the opportunity to visit a local wildlife park to continue their learning on habitats and different creatures. Take a look at some of the photos of the day. A big thank you to parents and carers for your continued support. Also I would like to take this time to thank the staff for facilitating this trip, without your help, the children would not get these amazing experiences.
On Saturday 29th June, our school held it's annual summer fair. This year, with the help of Michelle Farrar and the Friends of Thorpe Willoughby, it was our biggest one yet. I would like to take this time to thank everyone who attended; you have helped us raise a lot of money for the school, that will be used in our pursuit of continually improving the environment and equipment for the children. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved. Without the individuals who were out in the midday sun, the fair would not have been possible. Take a look below at some of the pictures from the day.
